Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away! (WHAT!?)

So as of right now, we’re all turkey talk, all the time. Kicking off the Thanksgiving recipes this year is My Favorite Cranberry Sauce recipe! This little standby comes together in less than 15 minutes and is the perfect compliment to your turkey. Quick, easy, and guaranteed delicious? OK!

Is cranberry sauce served hot or cold?
This is honestly going to come down to preference. I like to serve cranberry sauce at room temperature or warm, but this is mostly to match the temperature of the turkey!
Now, on to the main event!
INGREDIENTS
- Zest of 1 Orange
- 1/2 cup Orange Juice
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 scant cup Sugar, (1 scant cup = slightly less than 1 cup)
- 12 oz Cranberries, fresh or frozen
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the orange juice, water and sugar over high heat until it boils.

Add in the cranberries, orange zest, salt and cinnamon and bring back to a boil.

Lower the heat to medium and let the mixture cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently with a rubber spatula.

Remove from heat to let cool. Serve warm or at room temperature.

So yummy!! I’ve always been a jellied cranberry sauce lover, but I decided to give this a whirl and I’m totally a convert! My husband didn’t even want to try it because he said he doesn’t like homemade cranberry sauce, but I had him take a bite and he loved it too. This is definitely going to become a Thanksgiving staple in our house!
Oh I’m so glad! Thank you for trying it and Happy Thanksgiving!
