January is well under way and the Superbowl is just around the corner! Are you planning a Superbowl party?? My hubby is a lifelong Jets fan, so that typically means spending Football season listening to him yell at the tv until they knock themselves out of any hope of the postseason, so the Superbowl is a bit lower stakes in our house. I can freely admit that I like the Superbowl for the commercials and the snacks, and like to make a festive meal for the two of us (while I enjoy the Puppy Bowl). Is it wrong to make 17 appetizer options for a party of 2?? ๐
Anyway, one of the cornerstones of tailgating and Superbowl food is none other than chili, so I am so excited to share my go-to Game Day Chili. It’s a delicious one pot recipe where the hardest step is opening cans ๐ It also develops an unbelievable amount of flavor in just a few hours. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do! Happy Footballing–I’ll be enjoying my chili while watching the Puppy Bowl.

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- 2 lbs Ground Meat, I like to use 1 lb Beef and 1 lb Turkey
- 1 29 oz can Tomato Sauce
- 1 15 oz can Black Beans with liquid
- 1 15 oz can Cannellini Beans with liquid
- 1 29 oz can Pinto Beans with liquid
- 1 29 oz can Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Yellow Onion, diced
- 2 stalks Celery, chopped
- 3 tsp Cumin
- 3 tbsp Chili Powder
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Ground Pepper
- 2 cups Water
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large pot heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the ground meat and cook completely. Once cooked, drain off any grease from the pan.

Turn off the heat and add in all remaining ingredients. Turn the heat back on to medium high and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to simmer and cook covered for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Serve with tortilla chips, oyster crackers, cheddar cheese, sour cream, etc. I like to serve this in a baked potato with tortilla chips crumbled on top. YUM!
