I thought I would jump right in with one of my favorite quick recipes. So no, steamed broccoli isn’t super sexy, but this is so easy and healthy, and is perfect for those nights when you just need a veggie side with little to no effort.

Ingredients
- 1/2 head of Broccoli
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 Tbsp Water
Instructions
Cut broccoli into florets and place in an 8 x 8 microwave-safe glass dish (I use Pyrex).
Add garlic powder and salt, then add the water.
Take 2 sections of paper towel (or 1 big one) and wet it. Ring it out slightly so it isn’t dripping wet, but is still pretty wet and lay on top of the dish (covering the edges).
Microwave for 2 minutes 30 secs and voila! A delicious healthy steamed broccoli side in a snap.
NOTE: Be careful of steam when you remove the paper towel after microwaving.
