I don’t know about you, but I love me a food trend as much as the next guy. Whipped Dalgona Coffee popped up quickly and is now blowing up the internet. Have you seen it? Curious to try it? No idea what I’m talking about? Stay with me here ๐ง

What is Dalgona Coffee?
Dalgona Coffee is a sweet whipped coffee drink, made up of instant coffee, sugar, water, and milk. It’s also known as fluffy coffee, frothy coffee, or whipped coffee. It has origins tying to Macau, Pakistan, and India, and recently rose to fame when Korean actor, Jung Il Woo, posted a video clip trying a whipped coffee drink in Macau and said it reminded him of Dalgona candy (a Korean sweet spongey candy). Yup, that’s the whole story!
Can I make Dalgona Coffee with Regular Coffee or Espresso?
Honestly, this will be the one example where instant coffee is king. You can try to make Dalgona Coffee using a very finely ground coffee or espresso powder, but instant coffee will give you the best result. Keep in mind that an espresso powder version will pack a seriously caffeinated punch.
Now let’s make some magic!
